I was just sitting here thinking it has been a long time since I had posted a new blog post. So I decided to check it out and see when my last most occurred and was surprised that it was way back in January. So I decided that I need to post something and do something to become more regimented with my posting.
Anyway I don’t have a ton to say but today during church I had watched a young man walk in. Of course since we are such a small congregating it is very difficult to hide in our church. Anyway I remember thinking as he walked in the back door ” I wonder what brought him in” I don’t particular like the fact that this was my first thought but it was.
I finished the message and he walked down the aisle and asked me to pray with him. He proceeded to tell me that his sister was just diagnosed with cancer she has three children and he knew the place he needed to be was church. I spent several minutes with him afterward and really hope that he returns and will get his sister and mother coming as well.
I respected the young man especially after he told me that he was afraid to come to church and that his mother was afraid as well. I think fir this of us that attend church on a regular basis forget that feeling of what it is like. We think everyone should feel welcome but it is fearful to walk into a place you do not know and winder what others are going to think of you. Then to top it off he came down the aisle weeping.
